Overview
Even though it is called Scarabs and Ankhs, it is really only a single mold. There are seven scarab designs on the front and four ankh designs on the mold’s reverse. Both are classic Egyptian motifs and the images are sized perfectly for jewelry. Placing a layer of dichro glass into the scarab and topping it off with frit results in a beautiful cabochon reminiscent of art deco pieces. Scarab fill weights are 15, 12, and 5 grams. They range in size from 1.5” to 0.8”. Firing Temperature: COE 96 -1375ºF, COE 90 -1400ºF. Ankh fill weights are 4, 2, and 0.5 grams. They range in size from 2.25” to 1”. Firing Temperature: COE 96 -1325ºF, COE 90 -1350ºF.
